Diesel drops below a dollar at Boyne Island
BP BOYNE Island has gone under the one dollar mark for diesel and earning praise from RACQ.
BP Boyne Island is charging 99.9c a litre for diesel for the second day in a row, 15.4c below the region's average.
RACQ spokeswoman Renee Smith said it was the first time in years diesel had been that cheap in Gladstone.
"We think the price of diesel is extremely overpriced in Queensland," she said.
"We think it should be around a dollar at the moment so it is good that BP Boyne Island is being fair to customers.
"Just as an example, there is only one (service station) in Brisbane that I know of that is under a dollar for diesel."
Col Taylor from BP Boyne Island was flat out serving customers today and didn't have time to comment.
