Diesel spill closes one lane of Bruce Hwy at Marmor

POLICE closed one lane of the Bruce Hwy this morning after an oil spill at Marmor.

It's believed the northern lane of the Bruce Hwy was closed about 65km from Gladstone at 7am, after reports of an 800 metre slick of diesel.

Queensland Fire and Rescue Service officers worked with Rockhampton Regional Council's specialised oil management crew to remove the spill.

The road was reopened at 8.20am.
