Deputy premier visits to inspect WICET
DEPUTY premier Jeff Seeney is visiting Gladstone today to inspect progress on the $2.6 billion Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal project.
The new coal terminal project is close to completion, and is expected to be finished in March.
While some pre-commissioning work has been delayed, a 6km overland conveyor is working, and a load of coal is already on site going through commissioning works.
The workforce on the project is expected to halve before Christmas.
