Defence aircraft noise to be monitored under new agreement

AN independent review of defence force aircraft noise will be monitored under a new memorandum of understanding.

Aircraft Noise Ombudsman Ron Brent will review the handling of complaints and inquiries about noise from military planes and helicopters.

Mr Brent will make recommendations to the Board of Airservices or the chief of the Air Force for improvements in handling complaints.

He will be the single point of contact for people whose concerns cannot be met by the government.
