Kiwi actor slams Aussies for ball-tampering scandal

AUSSIE sport has copped a spray from Kiwi actor Julian Dennison - adding fuel to the long-burning rivalry between Australia and New Zealand.

The 16-year-old Deadpool 2 and Hunt For The Wilderpeople star's career is on the rise - landing a gig with Lynx Australia that sees him front a cheeky new ad that throws shade at the cricket ball-tampering scandal.

"It's not like us Kiwis to be serious or political but it was a cheeky nod. It was super fun to film," he told Confidential.

Dennison has become hot property in New Zealand and across the ditch after his meteoric rise to fame starring opposite Ryan Reynolds.

He will next star in Godzilla vs. Kong and is fielding offers left, right and centre for endorsement deals - not bad for a teen who still catches the train to school.

"My manager and parents look at everything before it even gets to me," he said.

"And then if I don't want to do it, I just say 'I don't want to do it' but if I feel like it's something really good and really cool to work with like Lynx, I'll do it."

But despite the body spray giving him the confidence to land the girl in the follow-up ad released last week, Dennison insists he hasn't had as much luck finding love in the real world. "Not really, that won't happen any time soon," he said of bagging himself a girlfriend.

"My brothers have laid down the law. I'm not really interested in that (finding love) at the moment. I'm too busy with school."
