GLADSTONE'S walking dead are on a roll as they prepare for Youth Week.

They will converge on Gladstone city for the inaugural Zombie Quest as part of this week's National Youth Week.

Aspiring zombie 16-year-old Stephanie Little has been excitedly designing her "look" which she hopes will be "terrifying" for the inaugural Zombie Quest.

Gladstone Regional Council's Vernetta Perrett said the city's youth had been demanding a zombie event.

The Zombie Quest will begin next Saturday at 4.30pm and will conclude at PCYC, where the undead will join a zombie roller disco.
