Dash cam captures near-miss with four-wheel drive

A BUNDABERG dash cam owner has shared a video online of his near-miss with a four-wheel drive.

Jason Watts was driving home from work when a car suddenly turned around in front of him and entered the road outside the Friendlies Hospital.

"It's common to come across this situation at this hospital daily, this is not the first time it has happened here," he said.

He said he was glad he'd been travelling slowly to avoid a potential crash.

"Luckily for me i just left work and as usual I use the back streets to go home which only takes about three minutes, the speed limit is 50kmh but I do far less as the area around the private hospital is quite busy some days with elderly crossing or trying to find a parking space close-by," Mr Watts said.

"But a blatant disregard to the road rules by double parking then a U-turn directly in front of me makes me more aware of what elderly drivers are really like."
