UPDATE: Heaviest of rain has passed, showers could follow

UPDATE:

THE dark plumes of clouds have brought 6.2mm of rain to Gladstone this afternoon.

While the heaviest rain has passed through the region, there could be some isolated showers late this afternoon and tonight.

Showers are also forecast for tomorrow morning.

Feast on East organiser Darryl Branthwaite said the event will still go ahead if there are showers.

However he is confident the rain will clear overnight.

DARK clouds are forming across the Gladstone region, and it looks like we could cop some rain and a light storm this afternoon.

A band of rain and thunderstorm developing north west of Rockhampton heading in a south easterly direction.

There is moderate rain in Calliope, and it is also raining in Kirkwood too.

According to weatherzone there is a 90% chance of falls between 5-10mm in the Gladstone region this afternoon.
