SHE'S only 11, but has a voice of a 25-year-old pop star with an extensive career.

Darcy Sayre has a deep, mature voice but has never had a singing lesson in her life.

She sang at Tannum Sands' Beach, Music and Arts event over the weekend and stopped marketgoers with her amazing talent.

Darcy belted out Jessie Jay's Pricetag and more ballads with her two sisters, and she can't wait to do it again next month.

The year six student will also compete in the Gladstone City Eisteddfod in August in the Modern Song category.

Darcy says singing is her passion.

"For as long as I can remember I have been singing, it's just fun,'' she said.

"It allows me to express myself and it makes me happy."

Darcy looks up to pop artists such as Katy Perry, Rihanna, Jessie J and Adele, and she can reproduce their hits with ease.

Darcy's mother Alison says her daughter loves to entertain anyone, anywhere.

"If people come over we have a concert,'' Alison said.

"She sings around the house and for the neighbours at the beach.

"She's a good writer, too. Our friend said she could be the next JK Rowling," Alison laughed.

Darcy likes to play the clarinet and write in her spare time, but she would love to be a professional singer when she grows up.
