Irish dancers leap in to Gladstone workshop

MORE than 25 dancers from the Gladstone PCYC Irish Dancers participated in a two-day workshop at the weekend, with Colette Shields from the Claddagh School of Irish Dance.

Dancers learnt many valuable skills, techniques and dances.

Miss Colette said she was "very impressed with the improvements our dancers have shown" since her last workshop.

Those dancers who attended the workshop are preparing for competitions throughout the year including the North Queensland Premierships, as well as exams scheduled later in the year.

For those interested in learning Irish dancing, classes are available for two-year-olds to adults. Email
