Dalby murder, arson, burglary case mentioned in court

JASON William Binney was mentioned in Dalby Magistrates Court today on charges of murder, burglary and arson.

Police prosecutor Derek Brady made it clear that he did not ever expect Binney, 43, to appear physically in Dalby Magistrates Court as there is no secure dock facility there.

Sergeant Brady said the Queensland Police Service was still assessing the evidence and the circumstances that led to the death of Dalby father-of-three Mark Wilkes.

Mr Wilkes was identified in his burnt-out home on the morning of January 20, 2016.

Binney's next mention in Dalby Magistrates Court will be on November 29.
