A FATHER charged over the weekend murders of his two young daughters, provided family with no answers during his brief appearance in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Charles Mihayo, 35, is accused of killing Savannah, 4 and Indiana, 3 at their grandmother's Watsonia home on Easter Sunday.

A committal hearing has been set for August.
