Cyclist clipped by unlicensed driver taken to hospital

A BUSY start into the weekend for Gladstone Police with a motorist and cyclist collision, pedestrian and motorist collision, and a drink driver.

A 43-year-old female cyclist was riding along Glenlyon St when she was hit by a car.

The driver of the car was a 28-year-old male who will appear in court next month after being charged with unlicensed driving and driving without due care.

The cyclist was taken to the Gladstone hospital and treated for a sore wrist.

Another collision took place around 4.50 am this morning and a 26-year-old man was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car.

There were reports he was lying on the road before the incident.

At around 7.15 pm last night a 36-year-old male was intercepted by police with a blood alcohol concentration of .082%.
