Curtis Island worker promotes safety after losing finger

A CURTIS Island worker has shared his story about how a hand injury has impacted his life.

Daniel Lloyd lost a finger in a previous role, an injury that cost him three months of work.

Mr Lloyd and the Hazard Reduction Team were presented with a Golden Hard Hat award by QGC managing director Tony Nunan during a recent visit to the QCLNG project.

The award is the most prestigious safety award in the BG organisation.

The team received the award for their part in putting together a hand safety initiative rolled out on site.
