Chris Trevor to contest Flynn

MEMBER for Flynn Chris Trevor ended media speculation this morning about his political future by announcing he will contest the seat at the upcoming election.

Mr Trevor told reporters that up until a week ago, he was not going to run but an extensive conversation with Prime Minister Julia Gillard changed his mind.

He said Kevin Rudd's demise was his tipping point, with other factors such as a near death experience while carrying out his electorate duties in recent months.

See July 14 edition of The Observer for the full story, including comments from Mr Trevor's wife, Colleen.
