Large grassfire took off quickly at Mt Larcom close to homes
A LARGE grassfire bellowed across Mount Larcom on Sunday.
Rural and urban fire and rescue teams were notified, and multiple crews attended the scene at 10.40am.
It burnt throughout the area until 3.14 that afternoon.
A Queensland Fire and Rescue spokesperson said although the fire was close by to properties, there was no immediate threat to any homes or assets.
"It was just a large grassfire that took off very quickly; we don't know how it started."
People walked along the Mount Larcom track on Sunday morning, but they too were not affected by the fire.
