4yo crash victim critical

A FOUR-YEAR-OLD Caboolture girl remains in a critical condition in Brisbane after a tragic Central Queensland crash that killed her father and brother.

The two-vehicle crash between the four-wheel-drive she was a passenger in and a seven-tonne truck occurred near Gladstone at 4am on Sunday.

The girl’s 31-year-old father and her eight-year-old brother, both occupants in the vehicle, died in the crash.

The little girl was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Children’s Hospital.

Her 26-year-old mother suffered serious injuries but has now joined her at the Brisbane hospital.

The 48-year-old Capalaba truck driver remains in a serious condition at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

Two other occupants in the truck, including 51-year-old former professional golfer Dale Reid, were not seriously injured.
