Crash drops power pole as driver taken to hospital

A POWER pole was downed when a car smashed into it on Sun Valley Rd, Kin Kora last night.

The single vehicle accident occurred at the corner of Sun Valley Rd and Beech Ave at 8.50pm on Friday night, near the Yaralla Golf Course.

It is unknown whether anyone was injured.

The 19-year-old female driver was transported by the Queensland Ambulance Services to hospital.

The Observer understands power was out and the road was closed for up to four hours on Friday night while Ergon restored the power pole.
