Country girls get ready
COUNTRY girls – get ready.
It is time for Miss Country Girl Australia - and it’s heading to Gladstone!
Miss Country Girl will be held at Stockland, Gladstone, and aims to turn country girls into supermodels with some fantastic prizes on offer.
Queensland director Sally Miles said the talent of the girls from regional areas was outstanding.
“The beauty about these hidden talents is they genuinely represent Australia,” Ms Miles said.
Four girls that can’t wait for the event are Sharnee, Sarah, Hannah and Erika Edwards who have been preparing for the event by practising their catwalk and working hard on learning to walk in high heels.
Some of the most famous models in the world have hailed form rural towns including Miranda Kerr and Jennifer Hawkins, and now it is Gladstone’s turn to grab a piece of the action.
Each regional winner will go to Sydney for the national finals.
Then the overall winner will receive tickets to the finals of Miss Universe, the chance to compete for an international modelling contract and an all-expenses-paid trip to the Cosmopolitan Model Search.
Registrations will be held today at Stockland and all girls aged between 10 and 28 years are urged to enter.
