CouncillorConnect visits planned for various locations

ELECTED representatives will visit various locations throughout the region next week as part of Gladstone Regional Council's CouncillorConnect initiative.

This month's CouncillorConnect visits on April 24 will be hosted at Raglan QCWA Hall, Many Peaks Grand Hotel and Rosedale Memorial Hall.

Gladstone Region Mayor Gail Sellers said each visit would feature morning tea and a chat session with councillors at 9.30am, followed by pre-booked 20 minute individual meetings with councillors from 10.15am to midday.

"Councillors are keen to continue providing residents with the opportunity to meet for discussions within their local areas," Cr Sellers said.

Residents wishing to be notified of upcoming CouncillorConnect visits to their community can send a request to councillorconnect@gladstonerc.qld.gov.au.

To book a meeting, phone the council's communications and marketing unit on 4970 0700 and provide some basic information on the discussion topic.

A councillor booth will operate at the Boyne Plaza Shopping Centre, also on April 24, from 9.30am to midday.

No bookings are required for the councillor booths and residents are encouraged to come down for an informal chat.
