LUCKY, or rewarded for having the right processes in place and the ability and belief to execute them no matter the circumstances?
Saturday night's goal-kicking hero Colin Slade (pictured) said the All Blacks of yesteryear, mocked time and again for their inability to win World Cups that seemed theirs for the taking, had been replaced by a team that could win in any situation.
"It is a team with a hell of a lot of belief. It is not something we talk about - it is just expected. You don't have to fool yourself into believing it because there is so much belief out there," he said.
"This team is so relaxed - the messages from the senior players is that we are still in this and have a crack.
"After Nic White kicked that goal, we just talked about what we were going to do at the kick-off to get back on the front foot and stay down there."
