Best places for a barbecue in Gladstone

BACKYARDS and Canoe Point are the best spots for barbecues in the Gladstone region.

The Observer's Facebook likers delivered their verdict on where to bring family and friends together.

Gary Pengelly said the only place to cook up some snags was his place.

"My place in summer when the pool is beautiful blue," he wrote on The Observer's Facebook page.

Emma Jordan agreed with "your backyard" and Julianne Silver said "mum's when the brother is cooking".

Canoe Point was a popular choice from backyard chefs.

"Wood fired barbecue at Canoe Point," Di Staats said on Facebook.

Annie Grice agreed.

Daniel Eddy said Bunnings was a great option and Muriel Fourie Oosthuizen said Awoonga Dam was the go.

"Awoonga dam with family, friends and kids playing the dam, and family and friends enjoy a barbecue in the nice weather! Nom nom mmm," she wrote.
