Businesses are friends, not foe at awards

THE Best In Business Awards were held on November 15 with businesses around the Gladstone region gathering to acknowledge those who have excelled.

In the business world, small businesses may feel as if they are alone and that everyone else is their competitor.

However, it is events such as this that overcome this stigma and allow businesses to realise that they may in fact have a lot in common with people they thought were their competition.

At this year's Best In Business Awards the Gladstone Chamber of Commerce and Industry was well represented, with many of our members winning awards.

Chamber members among the winners included Rydges, Limestone Clothing, D&S Supplies Welding and Fabrication, Park Street News, Locations Estate Agents and Narbil Training.

Not only were we proud of our members who received awards, but we were also thankful for the acknowledgment received from the winners.

The awards were a huge success, with many businesses gaining the recognition they deserve and the chamber gaining several members.

We would also like to thank The Observer and Westpac for putting on a fantastic evening.
