GLADSTONE Regional Council's new-look Community Services Directory is hot off the press and now available to the public.

The launch of the 2014-15 hard copy edition and the revamped Community Services Directory website will make it easier for residents to find the contact details of local organisations.

"The new website offers improved search functions and links to Facebook and web pages," Mayor Gail Sellers said.

"It also includes the previously printed Seniors Information Booklet, Youth Services Reference Book and Children's Directory."

Cr Sellers said the Community Services Directory was provided as a free community service by the council and allowed not-for-profit groups and organisations and sporting clubs to advertise their contact details and general information.

Introduced in 1983, the directory is published annually and has become a widely used community resource.

A total of 5000 copies will be distributed across Gladstone region over coming months.

Hard copies of the directory are available from Council's customer service centres, regional libraries, Rural Transaction Centres and the Community Advisory Service.

Copies are also available from various not-for-profit groups across the region.

For further information phone the Community Advisory Service on 4976 6300 or email cas@gladstonerc.qld.gov.au.
