IN GETTING ready for the Style Me Up event on Sunday, I was overwhelmed with the support and commitment from local businesses.

To our major sponsor The Gladstone Observer, thank you. Your staff were so professional and supportive.

Thanks also to the fashion outlets that participated in the event, including Alli Lane, Curvy Threads, Exclusively LeaLeighs, Katies, Limestone Clothing, Linen Goes Loose, Miss Havana Nights, Modscene, Phresh, Purple Diva Plus, Strictly Feminine Fantasy Rags, Stockland fashion outlets and T Leaf Clothing.

These outlets were amazing and truly dedicated to ensuring the women of Gladstone and the region look and feel fantastic.

The range of beautiful clothes was extraordinary.

If Gladstone ladies tell me that they can't find clothing, I'm going to tell them that they are just not looking.

Sunday proved that it is all here, we've just got to know where to find it.

Style Me Up had so many volunteers all working to help each other.

Of course, they support the Buy Local campaign, but it was just women helping other women.

I love it when businesses jump in and support events like Style Me Up, and Gladstone Chamber of Commerce and Industry members did just that.

The Bank of Queensland offered assistance (yes Rachael, it is possible to love a bank), and to Total Party FX and Natalia Muszkat Photography, thank you so much for your support.

Gladstone Entertainment and Convention Centre staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough to make sure our event was perfect.

This is an example of local businesses working together for a great outcome for the community.

It goes to show that with collaboration and partnerships all stakeholders get benefits.

And a huge thank you to all of the wonderful ladies who participated, supporting and encouraging each other.

Well done Gladstone region!
