Coles shoppers in for treat

CHEESE and bread lovers are likely to be proud of the Tannum Sands Coles Supermarket revamp.

The new-look store now has a larger range of cheeses and breads.

The upgrade included the bakery, deli, fruit and vegetable areas, and will officially open tomorrow.

Coles Tannum Sands store manager Daniel Ryan brings 11 years of experience to the role and is eager to share the new-look store's features with customers and the team.

"Local shoppers are in for a treat with the new in-store bakery and deli concepts," he said.

"We're going to have a much larger range of specialty cheeses and the team will be well-equipped for some cheese appreciation conversations with customers.

"Our team has put so much passion and enthusiasm into the store's renewal. This is a great opportunity to reward them as well."

The team includes duty manager Darlene Adsett who has been with Coles for 27 years, and since the Tannum Sands store opened 11 years ago.

"It's been great to see the store progress and become part of the community. I think the locals will really enjoy the new features," she said. Eight new jobs were created as part of the revamp, too.

The store will be one of the first Coles supermarkets in Queensland to offer flat breads made on-site.

It will stock a vast range of Queensland-made or grown products, including products from Queensland Yoghurt, Bundy Juice Company, Coles Brand ice cream produced by Norco, as well as Baffle Dairy Fresh Milk.
