A coffee with... Mariners technical director Joe Fenech

THIS week we have a coffee with central Queensland director of coaching and CQ Mariners technical director Joe Fenech to find out about life away from the pitch.

On a sunny Sunday afternoon, you can find me…either watching kids play football during the season, or having a nice brunch with the family.

My first order of business as PM would be…to make football free for all kids.

When I was young my dream was…to play for my country, Malta. But I got into the British army when I was a teenager and spent 20 years playing football, so I got the best of both worlds.

I can't remember the last time I…had a holiday. But, I love what I do so it's not so bad.

Chocolate…is my guilty pleasure.

My lovely wife …would be my date to the Logies/Emmys/Oscars…I mean that sincerely because she's always supported my passion for football.

Elvis Presley's version of My Way …would be included on the soundtrack of my life.

Either Steve McQueen or Clint Eastwood ...would play me in the movie of my life.

When I feel like splurging... I shell out for a couple of nice wines. Dessert wines in particular.
