Coastal waters wind warning from Yeppoon to Point Danger

THE Bureau of Meteorology issued a coastal waters wind warning for coastal waters from Yeppoon to Point Danger, including Moreton Bay and Hervey Bay on Monday at 11.10am.

A weak ridge lies along the east Queensland coast.

A surface trough and an associated fresh to strong south to sout-east is expected to extend through far southern Queensland waters from later Monday morning.

People can expect south to south-east winds at 25 to 30knots to extend from the south during early Tuesday morning, extending northwards to Gladstone in the afternoon and to Yeppoon in the evening.

Seas increasing to 3 metres.
