ONE of the Sunshine Coast's most prominent business figures has sold his Alexandra Headland mansion for $3 million.

Realesate.com.au reports Peter Shadforth, the founder of Shadforth Civil Contractors, sold his stunning three bedroom, three bathroom, six garage home in a deal which achieved the highest sale price of any home in Queensland last week.

The palatial hilltop property which features a wine cellar, two kitchens with butlers' pantries, a rooftop terrace and an inground pool, was sold by Amber Werchon Property.

The coastal mansion also has a lift, panoramic ocean views, a fireplace, top-class fixtures and marble bench-tops.

RP Data reports the property was last sold in January 2003 for $775,000 - although it appears it has undergone extensive improvements since that date.

In May this year number 8 Kate St also changed hands with the buyers parting with $1.93 million in that purchase.
