Surf club is on a fundraising mission

THE 2014 Surf Safe Appeal kicks off on Monday and runs through until next Saturday.

Tannum Sands Surf Life Saving Club will have volunteers at Coles Tannum Sands and Woolworths at Boyne Island and Kin Kora from Monday to Friday from 4-6pm and on Saturday from 9am-2pm, and at Gladstone Airport from Monday to Friday from 7-8am.

All donations will go straight back to Tannum Sands Surf Life Saving Club to be utilised to purchase lifesaving equipment.

The club's open day last Sunday was a great success.

Members are now looking forward to welcoming all the new families who have joined the club.

Tannum Sands Surf Life Saving Club will be conducting another sign-on on Saturday.

The clubhouse is on The Esplanade at Tannum Sands.

You can sign on between 8.30am and 11am at the clubhouse, or from 9am-noon at the Tannum Sands Swimming Pool, Waratah Cres, for proficiency swims.

It costs $90 per adult or $270 for a family regardless of the size, and make sure you bring some identification for each member of your family.

Children must be five years of age before September 30 to join.
