Chelsea Clinton in Twitter war after Fox News comments

CHELSEA Clinton has hit back at claims by a Fox News commentator that her mother Hillary would "sell her only child" to be president.

In discussion segment The Five on the favoured news station of President Donald Trump, Lisa Marie Boothe described Mrs Clinton as "the most soulless woman on the planet who would literally sell her daughter to become president".

Chelsea, a mother-of-two, defended her mother on Twitter saying she never doubted she was the most important thing in Mrs Clinton's life.

The exchange comes just days after she was targeted by Trump, as he defended his daughter Ivanka taking his place at a discussion table during the G20 world leaders summit in Germany.

Ms Clinton also replied to that via Twitter.

Ms Boothe is a contributor to Fox News and a columnist for the Washington Examiner.

It was not just Chelsea Clinton she offended with her attack on Hillary.
