Check stylist's boutique to give unique gift this Christmas
GIVING the gift of style is the perfect present to give someone this Christmas, said Stockland Gladstone's professional stylist Cassandra Fisher.
As well as hosting styling consultations, the owner of Miss Havana Night's Pre Loved Boutique is a market regular and she will have a stall at today's Beach Arts and Music festival.
Last week, the fashionista hit markets in Airlie Beach, Bowen and Townsville (where she did a style lounge) and managed to source gifts.
"Women want one-off things that other people can't get," she said of the attraction to markets.
"You find unique, different things."
Miss Fisher's stock is certainly unique.
She currently has an exclusive collection of jewellery and fascinators (pictured) imported from her home-country, Canada.
On what people are after this festive season, she said necklaces, bikinis and maxi dresses were big sellers
"I have ladies drive in from Tannum because they know I have new maxis in," she said.
Miss Fisher said jewellery, fascinators and a gift voucher were some of the items she personally recommended for gifts.
Although fascinators might seem like an unusual choice, Miss Fisher said it was a smart move as they were something women may not usually splurge on for themselves, and she has had women calling her on race days in search of headpieces.
A gift voucher for a style session is something Miss Fisher believes would be ideal for people, who work long hours and may not have time or know what to pick out for their partners.
"Fashion styling sessions take pampering to a whole new level," she explained, adding style sessions allowed people to enjoy a step-by-step style process that would make future clothes shopping easier.
