Chance for residents to chat with councillors

RESIDENTS of Boyne Island, Tannum Sands, Nagoorin and Miriam Vale will have the chance for face-to-face meetings with Gladstone councillors later this month.

CouncillorConnect visits will be held on Thursday, June 25 at the Boyne Tannum Community Centre, Nagoorin Progress Hall and Miriam Vale QCWA Hall.

Gladstone Mayor Gail Sellers said each visit would feature morning tea and a chat session with councillors at 9.30am, followed by pre-booked 20 minute individual meetings with councillors from 10.15am to noon.

"We really value meeting with residents and hearing what's happening in their townships," Cr Sellers said.

"These visits are an opportunity for us to get to know what people are thinking and what they seek from us as their elected representatives."

To book a meeting, phone the council's communications and marketing section on 4970 0700 to provide some basic information on the discussion topic.
