Chance to name your price and take home a pet cat

KITTENS may be cute and cuddly, but cat adoption volunteer Betty Bridge believes adult cats are 10 times better.

And until the end of April, the RSPCA is holding a "name your price" sale to encourage cats into homes that may not be able to afford the normal fee.

"We're looking for pensioners or lower-income earners who want to get a nice, desexed cat into a good home," she said.

"To get it desexed and vaccinated it can cost up to $370, but we regularly charge around $150 for an adult."

She said adult cats had grown into their personalities and you got what you saw.

"We need the special people to open up their homes to an adult cat."

Betty is opening her home at 17 Pams Crt, Beecher, for cat-loving folks to discover their new pet.
