CHAG is not linked to allegations

THE testing for CHAG was done by the Department of Environment and Resource Management and the methods used were reviewed by an independent expert as well as the Community and Industry Reference Group, according to the chairman of the Community Reference Group for CHAG, Col Chapman.

“The committee is concerned that the public has already drawn a conclusion that there is a link between these allegations and the CHAG reports when the information given to us does not link them,” Mr Chapman said.

“We understand that an investigation into the allegations has already started and we await the outcome of that. However, we are confident that the CHAG reports are not compromised by these allegations.”
