Central Trucks opens in Gladstone today

CENTRAL Trucks Gladstone had its grand opening this morning at its McCabe St premises.

The opening breakfast for the new business in town showed off a selection of trucks from Isuzu and Penske's Western Star, Dennis Eagle and MAN.

Owner Dennis Jurss said he looked forward to growing the business.

"We've come here in the downturn and we're here to stay," he said.

He said the team had worked hard to get the factory up to standard.

"These guys have made it one of the cleanest workplaces I've seen," he said.

"Building the team from the ground up has allowed them to really own it now."

Branch manager Ray Honeybone said they were setting up the business to be a point of difference compared to other service providers.

"It's a very tight market at the moment but we're committed to it," he said.

"We're here for the long term."
