Central Queensland Capras take win in Mackay

CENTRAL Queensland Capras travelled to Mackay and were victorious to open their season in the Intrust Super Cup.

In drenching rain, Capras were too slick and strong across the ground as it worked its way to a 24-10 win.

Capras coach Kim Williams emphasised that one win does not make a season, given the fall from grace in 2015.

He did, however, praise the toughness of his team in what were difficult

conditions.

There were also no injuries to report from the match.

"We were down a few troops today so that probably makes that win even more pleasing," Williams said.
