Driver fined after crashing while trying to grab CD

A DRIVER has been fined $200 after crashing into a parked vehicle while trying to grab a music CD.

Gladstone Magistrates Court was told driver Clinton Sorrensen crashed into a parked vehicle at 4am when grabbing a music CD.

Sorrensen, 19, pleaded guilty to driving his Pajero along Cockatoo Dr without due care on July 12.

He was fined $200 after telling the magistrate he had to pay $1100 insurance excess, after the crash caused by momentary distraction.
