WATCH: Cats fight for right to poo in private

CATS across the country will unite in their fight to poo in private tomorrow.

After years of being subjected to the indignity of pooing in the corner of a room, in full view of others, it seems our feline friends have said enough is enough.

An online petition at the Poopy Cat Facebook page has already gained widespread traction with thousands of humans showing support for the cause by posting photos of their cats in the act.

"For centuries cats in Australia have been enduring constant scrutiny over their poopy faces," the man behind the movement Thomas Vled said.

Mr Vled's company has released the solution - a box where cats can poo in private - but he said he was disgusted many owners had ignored the development.

To highlight the issue he said people should post a picture of their cat's poopiest face on the company's Facebook page.
