Dedication and physique wow judges
CASEY Winsor's dedication, hard work and impressive physique have been rewarded with victory in the Ms. Figure Intermediate bodybuilding category at the prestigious All Female Muscle and Fitness Classic in Melbourne.
Described by The Age as a “frightfully fit looking blonde”, Gladstone's Winsor beat out a field of eight contestants to win the title in a competition she labelled as “modelling for muscles.”
“It was an awesome event; the women were all very nice and it's probably one of the best competitions I've been to,” she said.
The contestants performed a series of compulsory poses and were judged on shape, form, symmetry, muscularity and overall image, and with three hours of training per day under her belt Winsor was well equipped to wow the judging panel.
The personal trainer, who has achieved solid results at several International Natural Bodybuilding Association events in Queensland, said the triumph was a highlight of her bodybuilding career.
“It's pretty exciting; it was my fifth show and I'd been working hard at it for quite some time so it was quite mind-blowing,” she said.
Winsor has been bodybuilding for five years and said that her motivation was linked to her career in fitness.
“I'm a personal trainer and it's an area I've always been interested in so I saw it as a challenge to take things a bit harder,” she said.
“Next year I'll do the same show again in July and at the end of the year I'll go in about two other federations to try and go a bit further.”
