Car rego cost to rocket in Labor fee hike

QUEENSLANDER'S pay the most out of every state and territory in the nation for car registrations and it's set to get more expensive.

Much to the chagrin of motorists the State Labor Party has remained steadfast in its decision to raise the cost of rego 3.5% above inflation.

To get rego for a 4, 6 and 8-cylinder car it will cost you $289.95, $458.95 and $642.70, respectively.

RACQ and the LNP are urging the government to stop the increase.
