Car crashes into boat and house

UPDATE 7.25PM:  Rockhampton district duty officer senior sergeant Tom Nelson said investigations into the crash are continuing.

"This was a single vehicle traffic crash," Snr Sgt Nelson said.

"Investigations are continuing into the cause of the accident. The driver has claimed he had something in his eye causing him to crash into the boat and then veer away from the boat and crash into the house.

"It's very lucky no one was injured during this incident."

UPDATE 6PM: REPORTS from witnesses at the scene of the accident indicate a tow truck is on scene and there has been substantial damage to the house.

The car crashed into the front window of the home, completely pushing an exterior wall in.

Thankfully, no one is believed to have been injured in the incident.

BREAKING 5.30PM: POLICE, fire and ambulance crews are responding to reports of a car and boat crash on Richardson Rd.

It is unclear at this stage whether anyone has been injured in the incident.

Motorists in the area are urged to give way to emergency services and drive with caution.
