Car crashes into bakery: Concerns building could collapse

BREAKING: A car has crashed into a business on the Western Downs with concerns the building could collapse.

The car lost control after the elderly driver suffered a medical condition, crossing the highway and crashing into Miles Bakery at Miles, west of Toowoomba.

The incident occurred about 3.05pm.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are on scene attempting to make the building safe.

However, there are concerns that it may collapse.

A truck is on its way from Toowoomba to remove the car from the building.

The driver was taken to hospital by Queensland Ambulance Service and will be airlifted this afternoon.
