Car catches fire while being driven on Red Rover Rd

A CAR caught on fire while it was being driven on Red Rover Rd, Callemondah at 7.50pm on Thursday.

Gladstone police said the car was in use when it started spluttering then caught fire.

No injuries were reported.

In other police news, an 18-year-old man has been charged with public nuisance disorderly after an incident in Central Lane, Gladstone, at 8.10pm on Thursday.

And a 49-year-old man has been charged with drink driving after allegedly recording a blood alcohol reading of 0.077.

The man was tested on Hills Rd, Rosedale at 3pm on Thursday.
