PHOTOS: Riders come from around CQ for campdraft

FROM the young to the old, they were all there for the Calliope Gold Goblet Campdraft.

They all gathered to cheer the juniors on, as they were the first to compete for the day.

Technique and ability was put to the test as riders rounded a steer through set obstacles.

But determination and focus prevailed because there were time constraints.

From all over central Queensland they came; the draft was the place to be for their Sunday.

Despite the wind which coursed showers of dust, all riders enjoyed the day.

The live atmosphere, sounds of horses calling and the crack of a whip soothed the air.

With a handful of prizes to be won they all gave their best.
