Teen missing from campsite found safe and well

UPDATE: the teenage boy missing from Rainbow Beach has been safe and well.

The 14-year-old went missing about 6.30am Wednesday from a Rainbow Beach campsite.

Police have thanked the public for their assistance.

 

EARLIER: POLICE are seeking public assistance to locate a boy reported missing from a campsite near Rainbow Beach.

The 14-year-old was last seen about 6.30am on Wednesday near Cypress Ave but he has not been seen since.

It is believed the boy may be attempting to return to a Kippa Ring address.

Police hold concerns for his welfare as his behaviour was out of character.

He is described as Caucasian, approximately 150cm tall with a slim build, light brown hair and blue eyes.

Police are urging anyone that may have seen to boy to contact them immediately.
