Kids get crafty and climb some walls with SUNfest
THURSDAY was a busy day for SUNfest-goers as kids around the region played sport and tried their hands at different types of craft.
Gladstone youth had a chance to try out table top war gaming. Those who went to the workshop also brought home their very own miniature figurine.
Craft lovers made paper mache fish out of recycled materials, and others created art out of melted crayons.
Squash, indoor rock climbing, abseiling and sport wall activities were on offer giving children a chance to try a different sport, and for those outdoorsy types, an overnight escape to Awoonga Dam and Harmony Farm.
On the first day of the overnight escape, the kids left behind the rat race to explore Awoonga Dam in a canoe, before finishing off the day with a country-style meal.
On Saturday they'll be discovering Harmony Farm at Ubobo on horseback, before returning back to Gladstone.
