Burst pipe causes havoc as PM visits

DENNIS St gutters were awash with water as Prime Minister Tony Abbott arrived in Gladstone on Monday, with a burst water pipe causing havoc.

At 3.30pm the street's gutters were full from the pipe, with water trickling into Ferris St where Mr Abbott was visiting.

Mr Abbott met with members of the community at Gladstone Bowls Club.

Water interruptions also were experienced by residents at the top end of Goondoon St, Eden St, Tank St and surrounding areas on Monday night.

Staff worked into the night to repair a water valve.
