THE Easter Bunny was still hopping on Sunday afternoon, handing out Easter eggs at Stockland Gladstone Shopping Centre.

The boundless energy of our furry friend is enviable on the bunny's busiest day of the year.

"My favourite part of Easter is the chocolate," the Easter Bunny said. "But I'm not allowed to eat them; that's why I give them away."

Plans for the coming weeks for our favourite rabbit include spending some well earned time resting.

"It's hard work leaving Easter eggs for everyone, but I'd never let anyone else do it," the Bunny said.

Twins Shaunice and Ambrosia Eliessen, 13, were lucky to enough to add to their chocolate collection.

The girls said they were enjoying time off.
