There's nothing like a bargain, especially one from Bunnings.

During isolation over the past few months, many Aussies have looked to outdoor inspiration to help give their home a bit of a makeover and add a touch of greenery.

But anyone who loves plants will know, buying our green friends can be expensive.

However one beady-eyed shopper has discovered you can snag a Fiddle-Leaf Fig plants for as little as $3.75 at Bunnings.

The attractive leafy plant usually range from $19.98 to $200, depending on size.

"Bunnings are selling baby figs for $3.75, I think I'm in love," a user wrote on the Crazy Indoor Plant People Australia Facebook group.

The post quickly garnered more than 100 comments from keen plant lovers across the country. "Omg! how cute are these," one member wrote.

"Heading to Bunnings tomorrow," said another.

While there are reports the plants are selling fast, shoppers can still get their hands on

assorted succulents also at bargain prices - between $4 and $5 for a 65mm and 85mm.

"I got my new baby from Bunnings for $4.95 in Wollongong," one shopper wrote on social media, while another added, "I got one from Bunnings in South Australia two weeks ago and it was less than $5."

Meanwhile others said they have been stocking up on the cheap plant.

"I told myself I would never buy a fiddle leaf fig then I see these babies … Couldn't stop myself," one woman said.

While the maintenance on some plants can often be a deterrent, Bunnings points out that these Fiddle Leaves are pretty easy to care for - according to their site, they prefer warmer temperatures and to be in direct sunlight, so just keep your Fiddle by the window.

HOW TO GROW A FIDDLE LEAF

Fig trees require a premium standard potting mix when planted indoors.

It is recommended to use a large, sturdy pot or container, as the plant can get quite large and heavy - then re-pot every two years to maintain health and vigour.

It's not the first time people have gone wild for a cheap Bunnings product.

Last week, a women had uploaded photos to a Facebook showing off before and after photos of her transformed bathroom grout after using a $10 spray.

The Aussie woman revealed she managed to transform 50 years worth of built-up grime on her motel grout into a sparkling new bathroom - in just 10 minutes.

The results left many of the group's members stunned with how well it worked.

"Discovered this product from Bunnings through a friend and I'm amazed," she posted in the group Bunnings Mums, Inspiration, Hacks, Tips and Tricks.

"Yes it's potent so wear a mask but it eats through the 50-year old grime in our motel rooms," adding that she is "currently scrubbing with ease".

Her rave reviews inspired others to hurry to the popular retail chain to purchase their own bottle of the "miracle spray".

"So buying some for our kitchen floor lol," one Facebook user said.

"It's on my to-buy list!" said another.

"I have to get some before you all buy it! lol," a third person commented.
